Kenneth A. Murray Insurance, Inc. (“KAM”) is an independent insurance agency. We are licensed in the State of Alaska to write commercial, personal lines, and Life & Health insurance products for Alaskans through insurance companies with whom we have agreements and appointments to do business. Our agency is dedicated to protecting the confidentiality and security of the information we request and retain from our customers. We are committed to following all applicable federal and state laws and regulations to ensure that the non-public and confidential information necessary to provide service to our customers is kept secure and confidential. Information Maintained
All information requested is limited to that which is needed for the business of marketing and obtaining the insurance products and services for the risks and coverages requested by our customers. A major portion of the information is formatted on applications or other types of forms and stored in our data management system, AMS 360. Security for the agency’s computer system is provided by certified computer technicians. Any information which comes to KAM via mail, email, phone or Facsimile is afforded the same level of confidentiality, and is either transferred to our secure data management system or is filed in our clients’ confidential policies files.
Information Disclosed
Information disclosed is only that necessary for obtaining quotes for new business or renewals, for assisting brokers or underwriters with data needed to determine a client’s claims or loss history, and/or for the documentation of classifications to assist with calculations of premiums and/or limits for insurance coverages. Additionally, any information disclosed is done so in accordance with applicable law, and with the customer’s full knowledge.
Privacy and Security Practices of the Agencies with whom we do Business
All agencies, companies, underwriters and entities with which we do business also have privacy and security procedures and practices for protecting personal and confidential information from the agencies and customers for whom they secure and write insurance coverage.
